I am a social value and community engagement expert who can quickly work out what the best course of approach and action is required to keep our clients happy. I enjoy the whole process of section 106 that we adhere to. I am brilliant at building relationships and getting people on side so we can all achieve excellence. I have most recently learnt how to effectively use our CITB fund to support and train staff members which improves moral and shows that we are investors in people. I am actively involved in the tender process for social value and what I say is achievable I always aim to overachieve to ensure that time and effort is put back into the communities that we build in. You really could not do my job if you didn’t have care for individuals and the progress they make in their work experience, apprenticeship or career. I hold workshops to recruit new apprentices and work with local stakeholders to find the right candidates for those roles. We run programmes to ensure that it’s the right fit for them and for us. I heavily support our apprentices to ensure that their modules are up to date and that they are receiving the right support from us and the colleges they attend. I work with many schools and colleges to provide career advice and offer work experience placements through the summer break or half terms. I work with charities to provide support in the boroughs we work in, at present I mainly support ‘The Felix Project’ as they rely on the support of volunteers to help with their mission. I enjoy working with their teams as we are all like-minded in wanting to give back and provide fresh food produce instead of packet shelf life products. It’s so important our young people have fresh produce in their diets. I am responsible for arranging all our apprenticeships / work experience / reporting to our clients / training management / updating the social value portal / community engagement and anything that relates to managing the social value that we provide.
