NOTE: Beginning in July, 2010, PECE became a program area of Community Renaissance. With PECE, I am the lead research associate and trainer in public dialogue which emphasizes deliberation skills and promotes equity, social justice and civic engagement. In this position for PECE, the Partnership for Equity and Civic Engagement, I have worked with the US/Mexico Border Health Commission, Just Communities Inc, United Way of Southern Arizona, and the UA Graduate College. PECE provided June, 2010-March 2011 services as co-convenor for Imagine Greater Tucson\'s Public Engagement Committee. PECE has also provided reciprocal services to TMM Family Services Inc. In the Summer of 2013, PECE facilitated Talk UP^ Tucson Community Happiness and Prosperity Conversations for local businesses, educational and nonprofit groups including UA Graduate College, TUSD, Centra Realty, YMCA/Lighthouse and the Pima County Public Library (as partners supporting the UA/SBS Happiness Lectures). PECE 20••••14 volunteer Happiness Community Conversation facilitators included Pat Griesel and Jennifer Winkler, in addition to Anita Fonte and photographer Mark Grushka. Beginning March, 2014, PECE offered its resources to The Tucson Neighborhood Support Network, serving as a member of its Core Group until October, 2014.In April, 2014, PECE began a collaborative community planning process to launch International Happiness Day in Tucson. We have established a Facebook Page at as we continue planning the 2018 activities. In 2018 our focus will be on happiness, well-being and neighborhoods. PECE also convened 2016 BuildUP^ Tucson and Beyond activities which has evolved into ongoing 20••••18 community collaborations with ROGUE/Realizing Opportunities for Growth, Unity and Equity, TheProfitProject, SERVE Tucson, Southwest Fair Housing Council and others. These ongoing projects focus on efforts to enhance a thriving Tucson region and beyond.
