Tech lead for LOAI at Lower, a suite of internal AI agents that helps mortgage teams get through compliance-heavy work faster, especially guideline interpretation and borrower document review.When I joined, I saw gaps in how knowledge-heavy work was being handled in slow, legacy ways, so I built an early Microsoft Teams prototype grounded in core policy and product documents. Adoption spread quickly across underwriting and operations, which led to securing executive buy-in, budget, and board-level alignment to make LOAI the company’s flagship tech investment.From an engineering standpoint- Introduced advanced RAG strategies (context-aware chunking, reranking, graph-style retrieval), multi-agent orchestration, and tool-driven workflows integrated via MCP so agents can pull the right internal context and take action- Set a strong agent testing culture with continuous evaluations (LangSmith with LLM-as-judge), which is a major reason LOAI maintains higher answer accuracy and reliability than competing tools in our workflows- Built LOAI with scalability and regulated production use in mind through SSO, RBAC, audit logs, and Datadog logging, tracing, dashboards, and on-call alerting, along with onboarding engineers, driving design and code reviews, and communicating progress and risks clearly to executives.

I work as an AI Engineer at Lower.com, where I designed and deployed LOAI. LOAI is a suite internal AI agents that support loan officers during underwriting. LOAI helps tackle some of the biggest pain points in mortgage processing: disorganized documentation, slow and error-prone manual reviews, and compliance/risk-management friction that slows loan approvals.Before this, I worked on a banking application at NCR Corporation and on education licensing and accreditation workflows at EDvera, giving me experience building software in compliance-heavy environments where reliability and auditability matter.I care about engineering that’s clear, maintainable, and honest: code you can read a year later and still understand, systems that handle real-world edge cases, and designs that solve problems without unnecessary complexity.Outside of work, I play electric guitar, hold a brown belt in Taekwondo, and enjoy reading books that make me think better about technology, behavior, and systems.
