As a Health Communications and Outreach Strategist at the Anne Arundel County Department of Health, I am dedicated to enhancing our community\'s health and well-being through effective communication and strategic outreach. My role involves assisting with our department\'s social media accounts and implementing comprehensive outreach strategies to engage with community partners and stakeholders.In my role, I lead the full lifecycle of planning and executing outreach activities. Collaborating closely with the Director of Communications, I develop and implement strategies to connect with diverse populations and stakeholders. My responsibilities include:Health Promotion and Education: Participating in and organizing health promotion and education outreach activities, including health fairs and community events.Event Coordination: Coordinating, organizing, and planning health fairs and other events to promote the Department of Health, providing support to staff at these events, including evenings and weekends.Social Media Management: Developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance the department\'s reach and engagement.Community Collaboration: Collaborating with Department of Health employees and community-based partners to promote health initiatives and resources.Innovative Outreach: Identifying and creating new opportunities for engagement activities to support the Department of Health\'s mission.Comprehensive Outreach: Maintaining a visible and active presence within the community to offer information about the Department of Health and its resources and programs.
