About Anish Behera

I’m an AI and Data Science practitioner passionate about building interpretable, scalable solutions across domains, from public health and social media to cryptocurrency and biomechanics.As an intern at Population Council Consulting, I developed a large language model–augmented dashboard to visualize and interpret NFHS-5 tribal health disparities, integrating Dash, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and fine-tuned transformer models. I also led social media analytics for a national-level behavior change campaign, combining multilingual sentiment analysis, demographic breakdowns, and engagement pattern mining.In parallel, I’ve conducted independent research under professors at IIT Bombay and Thapar Institute. One project focused on forecasting crypto price jumps using hybrid jump detection frameworks and deep learning models. Another explored gait correction using OpenSim simulations and exoskeleton assistance for post-stroke movement.I thrive at the intersection of data science, domain knowledge, and human-centered design — and I’m especially excited by applications that turn raw data into action through interactive tools, AI insights, and reproducible pipelines.
