ABOUT ANISE OVERTON

Hello! My name is Anise Overton, and I am a writer searching for full-time assistant and support staff opportunities in the TV animation and kids\' media industries. I\'m currently employed part-time at Paramount Pictures as a member of their Page Program, and I\'m freelancing as a writer for Moonbug Entertainment and WildBrain. Feel free to reach out to me anytime!In 2024, I was one of eight emerging talents in kids\' media selected for the Fred Rogers Productions Writers\' Neighborhood. I\'ve participated 2 Women in Animation mentorship circles:\"Hone Your Voice as an Animation Writer\" in Spring 2022 and \"Breaking In: Starting Strong in Production Management\" in Spring 2025. My first WIA mentor circle and I developed The Story Reaper podcast, for which I co-wrote the episode \"SPLAT!\". You can listen to the episode and learn more about the podcast at I was also writing mentee in the Netflix Animation Foundations Program, in partnership with Black N Animated. You may have met me while networking at an industry convention, as I\'ve been to LightBox Expo as both an attendee and a Firefly, as well as the Kidscreen Summit as a volunteer. I am also a Communications Manager for Black N Animated, and I moderated their panel at WonderCon 2026,\"Ink and Melanin: A Writers\' Roundtable.\"In August of 2024, returned to the US after living in Fukuoka, Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher on the JET Program. In 2022, I graduated cum laude from Yale University with a BA in English, with distinction in the major and a concentration in creative writing.In addition to writing, I love cooking and playing video games! Right now, I\'m playing Slay the Spire, Balatro, and Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies.
