About Anirudh Venkatachalam
Software Engineer with experience building scalable, production-grade systems across full-stack, backend, and AI-enabled platforms. I focus on designing reliable software that works on real-world data and holds up beyond demos, with particular experience in audio and speech systems, full-stack application development, and building practical products using modern AI tools. In research, I’ve developed end-to-end speech processing pipelines for ALS and epilepsy clinical studies at the UC Davis Center for Mind and Brain. This work involves working with noisy, real-world audio and building systems that clinicians can rely on in practice.Beyond research, I build AI-powered features using modern tools and models across hands-on projects and fast iteration environments, with work that has been recognized through competitive hackathon wins.Previously, I interned at CloudPaths Inc. and FundsIndia, and held leadership roles as President of SacHacks (Sacramento’s premier hackathon) and Technical Director of Google Developer Student Club at UC Davis. These experiences shaped how I work across teams, ship under constraints, and build software that serves real users.

Developed an end-to-end audio processing & advanced automatic speech analysis pipeline for clinical research with patients suffering from ALS and epilepsy using Python, integrating denoising, speaker diarization, AWS transcribe, and acoustic analysis.• Utilized speech processing libraries such as OpenSMILE for acoustic feature extraction and Montreal Forced Aligner.• Containerized the pipeline using Docker to enable reproducible execution, deployment, and systematic module-level audio testing to ensure clinical reliability across changes.• Worked on neural speech models such as NANSY++ to support speech synthesis and analysis for advanced clinical evaluation.• Contributed to the development of a sentiment analysis module using natural language processing (NLP) techniques to identify and quantify emotional tones in speech data
