Hey there.Thank you for checking out my profile.If you\'re looking for my résumé, the rest of the profile should do a fair job in highlighting that.Let this \"About\" section try to answer the age-old HR question:\"Tell me something about yourself that\'s NOT on your CV\"Before making the jump from Microbiology to MBA (for more background on that, check out the last slide in the \"Featured\" section), I had the huge responsibility of managing my mother\'s finances. The circumstances leading up to that decision were not ideal, however, it led me to the world of mutual funds and subsequently, personal finance.Three years after my first investment, I was lucky to receive a campus offer at ICICI Bank in Wealth Management. Fortunately, I was quick to realise that it was something that did not align with my long-term goals. So I moved over to Raise, building financial products for India!Apart from this, I\'m a voracious reader; I like reading about investing, banking, FinTech, wealth management, IPO prospectus. you get the drift. My non-fiction reading list is updated at my personal website (https://anirudhabasak.com)I also run a weekly newsletter; the idea behind that was to make sense of the noise around the constant news related to banking; package that into one single platform and simplify it for everyone. I have subscribers since I launched it on 1st June, 2020. In order to balance that, I decided to join Toastmasters (also, I love public speaking). Little did I know that it would become like a family. I\'m a Past President who has represented my club at Area Levels and I\'m currently on my L5 pathway \"Persuasive Influence\".The second balancing act is achieved through mentorship. I was and am a part of several platforms that allow me to mentor young individuals so that they can make a more informed choice regarding their personal and professional growth trajectory.
