Lead daily meetings with case management notifying any changes in documentation and queries answered affecting GMLOS and transfer DRG’s. Generated, composed and educated surgical and medical departments with regards to queries, ICD-10 guidelines, and indications of disease conditions.Generated Corporate management reports detailing CDI department personnel, CEO, CMO, Case Management, CDI Supervisor, Manager, Regional Manager, and Directors with regards to management and day to day operations. Managed, trained and supervised all IP-DRG inpatient and ER coders regarding physician queries and current coding guidelines and regulations set forth by CMS. Instructed physicians with current coding documentation guidelines, current core measures (sepsis, severe sepsis and septic shock documentation), importance of CDI Department, and query rationale. While at healthcare facilities, attended utilization review meetings to review patient cases regarding documentation, length of stay, physician queries, and case management issues such as disposition, LOS, and insurance updates and coverages. Proficient with EMR, Citrix applications and coding software including EPIC, Meditech, Cerner, Allscripts, Soarian, 3M Encoder, 3M 360 Dashboard, and HPF Workstation.
