Manage existing supplier/manufacturer relationships and help identify new sources in support of the company\'s continued growth.• Initiate RFx for new parts and part revisions to approved suppliers based on defined commodity strategy and propose supplier selections for assigned commodity.• Manage cost, schedule, technical, and drawing release status for projects and lead corrective actions as required.• Identify supplier development opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives as needed.• Work cross functionally to develop and deliver new product development initiatives.• Act as a key procurement business partner and a subject matter expert in relation to procurement operations.• Monitor the order processing schedule and anticipate and solve issues during the Order & Production process.• Push vendors to validate POs as soon as possible.• Work with the Production Quality Engineer to arrange MTR & pre-production/production samples collection and shipment to third party Labs or the Known Engineering team.• Maintain regular communication with vendors to monitor production from the start to end dates. Communicate delays daily to VP of Procurement.• Plan and book pre-shipping inspections.• Coordinate with suppliers, forwarders, and Known logistics team to book vessels.• Send shipment approval to suppliers.• Support the clearance with the Known logistics team and manage final supplier payment release.• Coordinate with the suppliers, Engineering, inspection company and forwarder throughout the production process regarding all issues related to sample process, inspection, testing and order follow-up.
