Production & Operations Management • Overseeing daily production activities for composite hollow core insulators, long rod insulators, and related components. • Preparing and monitoring production schedules, job allocation, resource planning, and manpower deployment. • Managing injection moulding operations for silicone rubber insulator products, including machine parameter setting and troubleshooting. • Ensuring optimum productivity with adherence to quality standards and customer delivery commitments. Shop Floor Team Supervision & Training • Supervising shop floor operators, supervisors, and support staff to maintain efficient and safe production operations. • Organizing on-the-job training programs for operators and supervisors on process parameters, machine operations, safety protocols, and work discipline. • Conducting regular skill enhancement and multi-skill training sessions for workers on topics like: o Injection moulding machine operation and maintenance o Silicone rubber material handling o Composite testing methods and equipment usage o 5S, Kaizen practices, IMS procedures, and workplace safety Process & Product Quality Control • Supervising testing and validation of composite materials as per internal and customer standards. • Knowledge and execution of Water Diffusion Test, Glass Content, Hardness, Tensile & Elongation Testing, Tracking & Erosion Test on composite insulators. • Implementing corrective actions for non-conformances and driving root cause analysis. New Product Development (NPD) • Coordinating with R&D and design teams for new mould development, product trials, and process standardization. • Handling mould trial plans, parameter optimization, and first-piece approval processes. ISO & IMS Documentation • Preparing, reviewing, and controlling ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management system documents. • Conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with IMS requirements. • Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operational and testing activities. ERP & IT Coordination • Actively involved in ERP module development for production, inventory, and maintenance. • Coordinating with IT team for process mapping, system improvements, and database management. Training & International Exposure • Successfully completed technical training in China for installation and commissioning of an 1800 Ton Injection Moulding Machine for silicone rubber composite insulator manufacturing. 5S, Lean Manufacturing & Kaizen • Leading 5S workplace management initiatives across the shop floor and test lab. • Driving Kaizen projects.
