ABOUT ANIRBAN BHATTACHARYA

I have been professionally & passionately involved with the music and DJ Industry since the year 1998. The last 20 years have been quite an education as well as professional ride for me career-wise and this experience has helped me meet countless music industry specialists and brand custodians of the leading labels and players, regionally and globally. Pioneer DJ happened in 2007 and I was hired to oversee Sales, Marketing, Product, Brand and Channel Distribution management for DJ Business Division under Pioneer Gulf FZE (HQ for GCC, Africa, India & Central Asia). In April 2015 I was assigned to oversee Sales, Marketing & Product Management for Pioneer DJ Business in India. Successfully planned & implemented strategies to expand Sales - Channel Distribution - Brand Marketing & Product Management for overall India DJ Business eventually growing the business to a record 360% vs. Prev. Year. In March, 2017 I quit my career with Pioneer DJ & started the first of its kind \'start-up\' venture in India - DJShopIndia. It is the first Specialist Retail chain totally dedicated to the DJ Gear & lifestyle needs of Indian DJ/Producers & Music Enthusiasts Community. The first brick & mortar store was established in Delhi in Aug\'17 and in the last 30 months of operation we have become a major player in our Business category. Today DJShopIndia is a leading name in the Indian DJ industry/ecosystem. In the coming 5 years we plan to establish 17 x Specialist DJ Stores in various Tier 1/2/3 cities in India, and take the same model to pan Global operations in the future. These specialised stores will be one-stop-shop for all DJ/Producer needs behind a console, and our stores will provide a 360 degree solution to DJs’ ever demanding professional needs in a highly professional Store environment.
