Cell and molecular biologist with extensive working knowledge of bacteria, yeast, plant and mammalian cells.• Specialization in Biochemistry, heterologous expression system, protein purification (tagged and untagged proteins from E. coli, yeast, Arabidopsis and HeLa cells), Size exclusion chromatography (AKTA Pure).• Protein engineering, tagging strategies, protein-protein interaction assays (immunoprecipitation and yeast 2 hybrid).• Enzyme purification and assays, SDS-PAGE, Blue-Native PAGE, non-denaturing and denaturing PAGE for proteins, EMSA and nucleic acid assays.• Extensive knowledge and skill in molecular biology, cloning (Restriction enzyme, gateway, Gibson assembly), vector engineering, synthetic biology, designing and executing expression systems in bacteria, plants and mammalian cells, • RNA silencing, MIGS, SIGS, dsRNA, siRNA, syn-tasiRNA, RNAi, miRNA/amiRNA and RNA processing/binding proteins.• Strain Engineering in bacteria, yeast and plants, CRISPR/Cas9, Cas12a and TALEN mediated editing in plants, gRNA/RNP and siRNA mediated silencing in mammalian cells.• Plant stress response, transgenic generation, mutant analysis, generation of up to quadrupole T-DNA insertional mutants in plants, crossing/genotyping.• Plant gene regulation, nutrient metabolism, and development of protein and RNA based biological stimulants.• Design and development of proteins/peptides (insecticidal toxins and anti-microbial peptides) and RNA based topically applicable biopesticides.• Vast experience in single molecule biophysics and different imaging techniques (confocal, SEM, Spinning disk, TIRF microscopy).• ImageJ, Alphafold (DeepMind), UCSF ChimeraX, DNAStar, Unicorn (AKTA) among others.• 6+ years of industry and 10+ years of independent academic research experience.• Multiple first author peer reviewed publications in high visibility journals like Developmental Cell, The Plant Cell, J of Cell Science, etc. with 3 papers recommended/highlighted in Invited reviewer for MDPI (Plant, IJMS, Membranes, etc), Frontiers, Sci Rep, Planta, etc.
