About Animesh Talukdar
I am a wildlife veterinarian and conservation researcher committed to biodiversity protection through ecological health assessments and evidence-based interventions. My work focuses on wildlife disease monitoring, habitat conservation, human-wildlife conflict management, and the One Health approach to human-animal-environmental health. I have contributed to key conservation initiatives, including Biodiversity Conservation and Ganga Rejuvenation and the National Mission for Himalayan Studies. My research encompasses wildlife-livestock interactions and disease commonality, anesthesia and immobilization of various wildlife—particularly high-altitude species—aquatic animal health, and wildlife hematology. Additionally, I have experience in preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and management plans for zoos and rescue centers. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and scientific outreach, I strive to integrate veterinary science with conservation efforts to enhance ecological resilience and safeguard biodiversity.
