Anil Ranavat is Chief Financial Officer at Homebound. Homebound is the next generation of homebuilding. Born out of communities impacted by devastating wildfires, our tech-enabled homebuilding approach makes building the perfect home possible for anyone, The company is led by Co-Founder and CEO Nikki Pechet and a team of construction, real estate, and technology experts. Homebound has raised approx.$200 million in venture capital from investors including Thrive Capital, Fifth Wall Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Google Ventures, and Forerunner and several hundred million in debt financing from Goldman Sachs and Magnetar Capital. The company has rapidly expanded from its focus on rebuilding post natural disasters in California and the Bahamas into a number of the fastest growing new home build markets in Texas and Colorado. Anil was previously Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners (Highbridge), a global investment firm with $68 billion of assets under management primarily across private and public credit. Founding member of Value Enhancement Team which focuses on equity investments in the private credit portfolio, typically control equity positions created through the restructuring of debt investments. Hands-on role with a select group of high-impact companies, including work on replacing or upgrading management teams and boards of directors, strategy analysis, margin improvement, capital raising, liquidity management, and exit strategies. Companies were across several industries, and they were typically in a phase of significant disruption/transition given in- or out-of-court restructuring processes. Prior to HPS, Anil was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at Reservoir Capital Group (a private equity firm backed by the Ziff Family and Richard Rainwater), where he worked for 11 years. Prior to Reservoir, Anil was in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs. Anil received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2009 and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003.
