In the late 90s, he joined RIL which proved to be defining moment in his career. As a key contracts’ leader, he played a pivotal role in delivering RIL\'s first refinery in record time of <3 years. His strategic foresight was instrumental in successful execution of Jamnagar Exports Refinery Project. Recognizing expertise, he was entrusted role of head contracts across RIL sites. He spearheaded trendsetting contracting strategies for refineries, pet-chem, polyester & infra projects. His contracts leadership now extends to RIL\'s 20 GW Green Energy initiative.Mr. Garg has managed world-renowned PMCs/EPCs like Bechtel, Fluor, MACE, Bellur Consultants, Sir William Halcrows. Managed contracting companies like Samsung, WSI USA, KHPT S. Korea, Anabeeb-Mourik, CR Asia, L&T, Afcons, KEC, HDI France with trendsetting KPI based contracts on cost-reimbursement, LSTK, sharing in savings, unit item rates.A negotiation expert, he has led high-value, complex contracts discussions & also shared insights at IIM Bangalore and IIMM Mumbai. His legal acumen was demonstrated in arbitration cases for NPCC before renowned former Chief Justice of India, Mr PN Bhagwati.Mr. Garg apart from his technical expertise has developed a unique skill of commercial acumen keeping him agile to ever changing tax regimes, strategizing the contracts under SEZ & EOU schemes.Mr. Garg has been a game-changer in project contracting, driving transformation & earned a respectable name in the industry. Recognizing the industry contribution, IASCM-IACM UK conferred Mr Garg with lifetime fellow membership. Currently, he is spearheading adoption of advanced productivity tools, integrating robotics for inspections, drones for logistics, 3D imaging.
