Software and Firmware development in 5G small cells team.Firmware developer for Internet Protocol Accelerator. Main purpose of this h/w block is to offload CPUs (Application and Modem processors) to save their CPU cycles and to improve UL and DL data throughput performance. a. It offloads expensive packet processing operations(TCP/UDP checksum, Aggregation of packets, Packet filtering and routing, NAT, XLAT, LTE deciphering etc) thereby enhancing throughput performance of 4g/5g modem which have higher data-rate requirements for each generation. It acts as a DMA engine to transfer data from multiple processors(Application processor to modem and vice-versa), and to various peripherals(USB, Wi-FI)3. It provides a generic centralized interface to connect and communicate with various Peripherals like USB, Wi-Fi. Use cases in USB and wifi tethering.
