ABOUT ANIL JAGTAP

Enthusiastic and self-motivated organic and medicinal chemist with a strong background in design and multi-step synthesis of complex compounds.*I have around 7 years of experience in Research & Development departments of different pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations (CROs). During this experience, I got dynamic industrial experience in which I worked as synthetic chemist, medicinal chemist and process chemist.*After my masters, collectively, I spent around 18 years in organic synthesis (including industrial and academic tenure) and still counting. During this stint, I successfully finished many multistep syntheses projects that had delivery of compounds from mg to Kg scale levels.*Over the last four years, I have been synthesizing isotopically labeled (13C, 2H and 15N) compounds that can be used for medical diagnostics purposes to probe different diseases in their early stages such as cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.*I have published 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 5 patents and 1 review article; expecting few more in coming months including a patent. Conducted many international collaborative projects, maintained strong relationships with team members and cross functionality with partners outside of teams.*One of compound, which I prepared during Hit to lead finding project, showed in vivo efficacy in the animal model for the cancer treatment (U.S. 2015, US 90•••13 B2 and WO 2009/118296 A2).*One of the patented compounds, which I have synthesized, will be soon commercially available for its biological applications WO 20••••••89 A1, EP 34•••21 A1 and Mentink-Vigier et. al, J. Am. Chem. Soc.
