ABOUT ANIKET MAHAJAN
As a Master of Science candidate in Engineering/Industrial Management at Purdue University, I aspire to apply my analytical and leadership skills to solve complex problems in the supply chain and manufacturing sectors. I have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a Bachelor of Technology degree from Vellore Institute of Technology and multiple publications in international journals.I have also gained valuable hands-on experience as a Sourcing/Purchasing Intern at Plastic Omnium, a leading global automotive supplier, where I led and contributed to various projects that resulted in significant cost savings, lead time reduction, and process improvement. For example, I identified and awarded the air freight business to a new carrier, saving (20% of the budget) for the North American region. I also implemented JIT and JIS in all the manufacturing facilities, cutting down the transportation lead time by three days. Additionally, I managed the SAP material management for all the logistics freight and resolved open invoices worth working cross-functionally with five divisions.
