ABOUT ANIKA OBASIOLU

I knew something was missing partway through medical school. Although I was quite interested in human biological processes, I realized I was most compelled by the social determinants of health. While pausing my MD education to pursue an MPH, I found that my true passion lies in disease prevention. Moving forward, I hope to combine my knowledge of pathophysiology with my understanding of health promotion to serve. With an emphasis on stakeholder engagement and empowerment, I plan to identify health inequities and their causes, and address them with sustainable, evidence-based interventions.
