As a part of the department of surgery research’s 24/7 on-call team, I report to the ED/OR to collect and process biosamples for an observational study of the molecular mechanisms of trauma-induced coagulopathy. I also provide support for a number of Principle Investigators in the department of surgery in collecting samples and abstracting data for studies, with a particular interest in obstetrics and postpartum hemorrhage.
