As a dedicated swim teacher at Westbourne Grammar School, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and swim skill levels, from 3- 13 year olds ranging from a large scale of swim levels. My role as a swim teacher involved delivering structured swimming lessons, while ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. When teaching swimming techniques such as backstrokes, breaststroke, freestyle and torpedo, I focus on technique improvement, giving feedback to each individual student, ensuring they build high levels of endurance, while aiming for ongoing skill improvement. Utilizing strong verbal communication skills, I effectively conveyed instructions and feedback, fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere. Demonstrating patience and flexibility, I adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities of my students.
