WORK HISTORY
Public Health Intern @Premier Health Associates
Sparta, NJ, US
Premier Health Associates is a multidisciplinary medical practice providing comprehensive care across specialties, including rheumatology, internal medicine, cardiology, and other aspects of healthcare. As a Public Health Intern in the Rheumatology Division, I supported evidence-based clinical practice by researching non-pharmacological interventions for managing chronic disease. Under the mentorship of Dr. Haroon Sarwar, I conducted a comprehensive literature review on lifestyle interventions—such as diet, exercise, and stress management—for patients with rheumatic diseases. My role focused on synthesizing evidence-based findings to support the clinic’s approach to non-pharmaceutical patient care and health education. This work played a key role in developing clinical recommendations and enhancing educational resources.• Researched and analyzed peer-reviewed studies to evaluate the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions on rheumatic disease outcomes • Updated and refined clinic educational materials to reflect the latest public health research • Assisted in drafting clinic policy recommendations to incorporate lifestyle changes into standard care plans • Observed provider-patient interactions to understand implementation of educational tools • Created a detailed final report and presentation for clinic staff, translating academic findings into actionable health practices
