ABOUT ANGUS THIES
As a Field Applications Scientist, I support development of novel multiplexed immunoassays, provide scientific guidance, and enable new users to leverage electrochemiluminescent technology. My passion lies in developing novel assays for academic and industry user groups to generate custom solutions and answer clinically-relevant questions.I completed my graduate and postdoctoral training at UC San Diego where I focused on identifying biomarkers, developing immunoassays, adapting molecular biology techniques, and expanding microscopy methods to study metabolic communication in microbe-invertebrate symbioses. My hobbies include rock climbing and mountaineering, spearfishing, cooking, storytelling, and DIY projects.
