About Julien Anguenot
Julien Anguenot is the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering at 11:11 Systems. In this role, he leads a world-class team of software engineers and product designers responsible for building and maintaining the award-winning 11:11 Cloud Console—a fully API-extensible platform that powers 11:11’s comprehensive suite of cloud services, including Public and Hosted Private Cloud, Disaster Recovery, Backup, and Object Storage. With over 20 years of experience in software engineering, Julien’s career is defined by innovation, technical leadership, and a commitment to software craftsmanship. He has previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at multiple startups across Europe and the United States, where he specialized in technical architecture and hands-on software development. A passionate advocate for open-source technologies, Julien has contributed to numerous projects and has spoken at prestigious industry events, including the Conference, EuroPython, ApacheCon, and Cassandra Summit. He is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Outside of his professional life, Julien is an ultra-runner and gravel cyclist, drawn to the mental and physical challenges these pursuits demand. Whether tackling long-distance trails or exploring rugged backroads, he applies the same drive and perseverance to his athletic endeavors as he does to his work in technology. Julien holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences at Université de Franche-Comté. He currently resides in Houston, TX.
