About Angela Monahan

After earning my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Marist College, I began my professional career as an Executive Recruiter in the financial services industry. During this time, I gained an in-depth understanding of the recruitment process by working closely with mid-to-senior level job seekers and prestigious Wall Street clients. Once I completed my Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management and Development from New York University, I knew that I wanted to apply what I had learned about careers to help students succeed in the workforce.I joined the Career Services team at New York Institute of Technology in 2017, where I served both undergraduate and graduate students of all majors in every aspect of their career development. I am passionate about creating tailored in-depth programs for students, educating them on career-related topics, but also providing hands-on resources, practical applications, faculty and employer integration, and individualized coaching. I currently work at Hofstra University’s Center for Career Design and Development, where I provide outcome-oriented career coaching to students of all disciplines. I also serve as a liaison to the School of Health Professions and Human Services.
