ABOUT ANGIZA NASIREE

With an extensive background spanning over a decade in the Foreign Service, I have cultivated a robust skill set in advocacy, management and diplomacy. My journey has been shaped not only by professional experiences but also by a personal commitment to addressing societal needs. Recognizing the pressing need for equal rights and the imperative to combat violence, I have dedicated my personal and professional journey to advocacy and change. Motivated by an unyielding commitment to empower individuals across diverse backgrounds, with a specific focus on the acute struggles faced by girls and women, I have consistently dedicated my time to volunteering within communities grappling with critical challenges. Recognizing the significant hardships endured by girls/women, my goal has been to empower them specifically and extend this commitment beyond gender boundaries to include all individuals in need. In 2021, I embraced a new trajectory, delving into projects that address pressing human rights issues, particularly engaging directly with survivors of human trafficking and victims of violence. This transformative shift not only broadened my skill set, particularly in project management and trauma-informed practices, but also deepened my understanding of the intricacies of non-profit organizational dynamics. As I progress on this path, my commitment intensifies towards making a more substantial impact, advocating for justice, equal rights, and the overall well-being of all individuals. I firmly believe in the potential of positive change and am eager to witness the evolving chapters of this transformative journey. My motto: Dedicated to Equality, Committed to Change
