About Angela Kiker
I am a counselor, educator and project manager, with over 20 yrs. experience in globally diverse locations. My specialties include counseling & teaching, with expertise in psychology, teacher training, Eating Disorders & career counseling. I have experience working with Substance Use Disorder clients. I am certified in DBT and Neuroscience Informed Anxiety Counseling. I am a Health at Every Size informed counselor. I am empathetic, open-minded, and non-judgmental, which makes me a natural counselor and mediator. I am highly creative and enthusiastic and bring innovative solutions to solve problems and create a positive work environment. As a counseling psychologist, I assist people with problem resolution, stress reduction, and goal setting, for their personal and professional growth. I use personality assessment, person-centered therapy, and CBT to help clients achieve their objectives. I have 10 yrs. experience in project management, as a contractor for the DOD, where I worked in all areas of administration. With those diverse skills and the respect of my team, I was selected as OMBUDSMAN, where I liaised with senior leadership as a voice for our community. I hold a Post Masters & MA in Counseling Psychology, a Post Grad and BS (Cum Laude) in Education, and I hold a BS in Computer Science. I am an eager learner and have an overall GPA consistently above 3.6 on a 4 point scale. The common thread of all these vocations is the desire to help others. By finding their commonality, I can bring technology, counseling, and education together for an outstanding result.
