WORK HISTORY
Founder @Angels Den Funding
Bill founded Angels Den in 2007 to help companies looking for growth funding understand what angel investors are really looking for. Its success is built upon many learnings, the first of which was that angels do not primarily invest to make money. The deals presented to angels are super-curated and 92% of the deals funded are still growing. That\'s NINETY-TWO per cent.Looking for funding? Then understand you have a choice, do you \"just want the money\" or do you STILL want to be in business in the medium/long term? There\'s no Right or Wrong answer. but understand that not all platforms or sources of capital are the same, and understand also that the decisions you make today will have repercussions for years to come. For me, that is what entrepreneurship is about, learning from your mistakes or dying. Equip yourself with the facts, then act. Do what everyone else is doing, and you\'ll probably end up with the rest of them. failed. If we think your business is not investment ready, we will tell you. there\'s little point in us taking you on, only for you to die, disappoint our investors. and you. Similarly, we sack 20 investors a month for being rude or being too much like those soul-destroying \"angels\" on the pitching show we\'ve all seen on TV. If you “just want the money” … we are NOT for you, but if you DO want a small number of active investors who are successful business people in their own right, and who have been trained by us to see you through to exit, check out the website below.

ABOUT BILL MORROW
With over 20 years of experience navigating the complex world of startup funding, I’ve reviewed thousands of business plans. The harsh truth? More than 90% of the plans I see are seriously flawed, as most founders lack commercial ruthlessness. For example\"We\'ll just capture 1% of this $1 trillion market.\" This lazy, top-down approach shows a fundamental lack of commercial understanding. It’s the fastest way to tell an investor you haven’t done your homework. It demonstrates zero insight into your actual customer, how you\'ll reach them, and what it will cost. It ignores competition, market friction, and the sheer effort of winning a single customer, let alone millions. The \"We Have No Real Competition” Delusion. Why Investors Hate It: Competition validates a market. No competition suggests no demand. Investors are not just betting on a product; they\'re betting on a market. If others are spending money to solve this problem, it proves customers will pay for a solution. Your job is to show why YOU will win.Ignoring the Exit – The Unspoken Tragedy. The Mistake: The plan is 50 pages on product and team but has zero mention of a potential exit strategy. Founders are often so in love with the idea of building that they forget investors need a return. Why Investors Hate It: Investing is not charity. It’s finance. Without a plausible path to liquidity (acquisition, IPO), their money is trapped forever. It signals you see them as an ATM, not a partner in building value for a future sale. Most founders are too close to see these flaws. That’s where I come in.I provide the straight-talking, investor-grade assessment that turns a 156-plan reject into the one that gets funded.I’ve built, exited, and helped scale startups—and now I partner with serious founders who want: Honest, no-BS assessments of their funding potential. Strategic guidance to attract professional investors (not just crowdfunding gambles). Exit-ready planning to maximise equity value (because 90% of founders rarely focus on this)Who I help: Startups frustrated by the funding grind. Founders who are tired of “chasing metrics” and are ready for growth capital. CEOs planning exits (but unsure how to time or price them). If your plan avoids these 3 mistakes, you\'re already in the top 10%. If you’re ready to join the 1% that gets the cheque, DM me your biggest funding headache.
