Angel Leverett is a marketing and communications executive who builds brands that move people to act. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, she draws inspiration from her mother’s tenacity and lives by the principle, “Be who you needed when you were younger.” That mindset continues to shape her work in creating opportunity, equity, and access through storytelling and strategy.Angel currently serves as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Austin Habitat for Humanity, where she leads enterprise-wide brand, communications, media relations, and digital strategy for the organization, its HomeBase sister entity, and three ReStore retail locations. She oversees internal and external communications, campaign development, donor and volunteer engagement, and public relations across one of the fastest-growing Habitat affiliates in the country. Her work directly supports Austin Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities, and hope for Central Texans pursuing affordable homeownership. She was also instrumental in bringing the 2025 Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project to Austin, helping elevate the organization’s national visibility and community impact.Before entering the nonprofit sector, Angel built her foundation in high-performance corporate environments, including Target, CDW, and Nestlé, where she held roles in sales, marketing, and corporate training. This background gives her a rare blend of brand discipline, data-driven strategy, and creative execution, skills she now applies to purpose-driven organizations.Angel’s leadership has helped secure significant earned media coverage for Austin Habitat at both the local and national level, with features in Austin American-Statesman, Austin Business Journal, KVUE, KXAN, Austin Woman, Bloomberg, Texas Monthly, and The Architect’s Newspaper.Outside of her executive role, Angel is also the founder of Angel Leverett Photography + Creative, where she supports small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs with branding, visual storytelling, and marketing strategy.A committed community leader, Angel serves as President of the Board of Directors and Founder of the Communicators of Color Affinity Group for Women Communicators of Austin. She is an active member of PRSA, a Leadership Austin alumna, and a dedicated mentor to Texas State University students pursuing careers in marketing and communications.
