ABOUT ANGELLA NANTAMBI
Angella is a project manager with a background in strategic communications, digital learning and financial management.She currently works as an EdTech Innovation Fellow at EdPlus at Arizona State University, where she manages education projects focused on digital learning, alumni engagement, and career development. Her work includes managing the production of the Baobab Alumni Magazine, leading outreach and marketing for Digit, a learning platform supporting K–12 math learning and coordinating initiatives under the Future of Work program for Mastercard Foundation alumni. This includes designing and supporting career readiness workshops, coordinating alumni-led sessions, and contributing to the development of a talent incubator and career coaching model for alumni. She also plays a key role in ensuring that EdTech programs reflect the lived experiences and needs of African learners.As part of the Gates Foundation project, she helped develop a pilot aimed at improving math access for underrepresented students, organizing a faculty design session to inform platform development. Angella also manages timelines, implementation efforts, and budget allocations for the Koch Foundation Project, a digital learning initiative serving over 400 students.Previously, she worked with the Mastercard Foundation’s Baobab Platform, developing communication strategies, coaching young people in storytelling, and producing virtual events. Earlier in her career, Angella worked in Uganda’s microinsurance sector, first as a claims associate focused on analytics and reporting, and later as a marketing associate, where she led nationwide campaigns and event production. She also gained experience in finance through internships with Finance Trust Bank in Uganda and Western Union in Colorado.Angella is the co-founder of InoGen, a mentorship initiative supporting Ugandan girls as they transition from high school to college, with a focus on building confidence and interest in STEM fields.
