About Angel

I am committed towards addressing environmental and public health issues of importance to Tribes and communities, reducing health disparities, working to attain environmental, climate, social, and economic justice, revitalizing lands, and building and fostering connections and community. I have nearly 20 years of progressive experience including in building new and innovative programs and initiatives, leading teams in implementation of multidisciplinary environmental (including in Air, Land, Water) and public health programs, and working in partnership with Tribes and communities. I have dedicated over the past 10 years towards managing and leading programs addressing and improving community infrastructure including work in solid and hazardous waste and sustainable materials management (including creating and leading the Alaska Landfills and Health Research Initiative), Brownfields sites and contaminated lands remediation including ANCSA lands, drinking and clean water, and large scale community resilience projects. I\'ve worked in Air, Land, and Water programs, with a focus on Tribal programs in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. I am dedicated to ensuring that communities have access to information and resources, sharing knowledge, and connecting and empowering people. I am inspired and continue to work towards fostering the arts and in cultural preservation and enthusiastic about creative and artistic approaches to communicate and raise awareness on environmental and public health issues.
