4ocean is a mission‑driven, for‑profit ocean cleanup company dedicated to ending the ocean plastic crisis. Since 2017, our crews have removed over 50 million pounds of plastic and trash from oceans, rivers, and coastlines worldwide.
We were founded to prove that cleaning the ocean can be a scalable, sustainable business, not just a charitable cause. Every product we sell funds our global cleanup operations, employing professional captains and crews who are out on the water and along the shoreline seven days a week.
The 4ocean bracelet is where our movement started and it’s still at the heart of what we do. Made with recycled materials, each bracelet purchased funds the removal of five pounds of trash from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines while creating fair‑wage jobs in communities most impacted by plastic pollution.
Today we’re more than a product company... we’re an ocean cleanup engine that brands and businesses can plug into. Through “Powered by 4ocean” programs, partners turn ESG intent into verified impact with contracted pounds recovered, transparent reporting, and co‑branded storytelling that cuts through greenwashing and builds trust.
Our operations currently span multiple locations, where we deploy vessel-based cleanups, river booms, and shoreline crews to stop plastic before it reaches the open ocean. All recoveries are documented, audited, and reported so customers, partners, and regulators can see exactly how much plastic has been removed and where their impact is felt.
4ocean is a Public Benefit Corporation and Certified B Corp, committed to balancing profit with purpose. As we expand our cleanup infrastructure, launch new technologies, and grow our partner ecosystem, our goal stays simple: make it easy for people and brands everywhere to move from “we care” to “we cleaned it up.”
