ABOUT ANGELIKI KATSAROU
My expertise as Pharmacokinetic (PK) Scientist in the field of small molecule bioanalysis includes- Non-compartmental analysis (NCA) for preclinical and clinical studies by using the industry-standard software Phoenix WinNonlin® (versions 8.1, 8.3)- Writing of PK scientific reports and preparation of appropriate documentation - Preparation of Standard for the Exchange of Nonclinical Data (SEND) files Academic profile: From 2017 to 2022 I performed research in the field of iron metabolism in health and disease. To recapitulate human iron disorders and explore the underlying mechanisms of iron homeostasis, I worked with animal models of iron deficiency/overload as well as mammalian cell lines. Other than basic research, I was also involved in protocols exploring the potential therapeutic effect of agents (synthetic peptides) in liver disease (NAFLD/NASH), in vivo. The complete spectrum of my scientific activities, involving research performed during my PhD and MSc thesis, is demonstrated in my publication record.
