Participated in the assessment of a $3.5 billion department of education to streamline processes and optimize spend of federal grants. The solutions proposed were built to help the client meet specific conditions laid out by the U.S. Department of Education and to enable the client to operate without the oversight of a third-party fiduciary agent. Opportunities for improvement identified through the assessment enabled obligation of over $27 million in stimulus federal grant money given to the department as a results of COVID-19 relief efforts within schools. • Worked with the U.S. Department of Education to draft a Comprehensive Corrective Action Plan to address weaknesses with department of education to continue to address specific conditions.
