About Angelica Garza

Ms. Garza is an organizational development professional with over nine years of experience working on a variety of human capital and organizational effectiveness initiatives for both public and private sector organizations. She has extensive experience applying industrial/organizational psychology principles to develop custom solutions that address organizations’ unique needs. Ms. Garza has led and supported projects with more than a dozen different organizations including leading extensive workforce planning projects for a Federal Financial Institution Regulatory Agency; designing, developing, and delivering several technical courses for National Credit Union Administration examiners and Consumer Access Analysts; conducting a Department-wide competency assessment for the Department of Education to identify current skill levels for all employees and supervisors; designing and developing custom competency models to meet the priority needs of the Natural Resources Conservation Service; and serving as Project Manager for a change management and communications initiative for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board and for a leadership and development initiative for the Center for Tobacco Products. Prior to joining FMP Consulting, Ms. Garza worked as an industrial/organizational research fellow for the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences, where she developed and refined Soldier performance outcome measures and helped improve Army personnel selection procedures. She also worked as a staff services coordinator for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, where she created, integrated, and conducted a formal training program that reduced the length of training timeframe by four days and realized an average savings of $1088 per contractor. Ms. Garza holds a BA in Psychology Honors from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from George Mason University.
