With more than 25 years in commercial real estate finance, Angelica has built her career leading agency lending platforms at the intersection of credit, operations, and execution.She is currently SVP & Head of GSE Operations at Walker & Dunlop, leading operational strategy across the agency platform. She focuses on scaling infrastructure, optimizing processes, strengthening risk management, and aligning teams to deliver consistent, high-quality execution for clients and capital partners.Previously, as SVP & Chief Underwriter of the Small Balance Group, Angelica led credit policy and partnered with executive leadership to build Walker & Dunlop’s Small Balance platform into the #1 Fannie Mae Small Loan Lender and the #5 Freddie Mac SBL Optigo Lender within five years. Earlier, as Deputy Chief Underwriter, she managed a conventional agency underwriting pipeline exceeding $1.5B annually.Before joining Walker & Dunlop in 2009, Angelica led West Coast underwriting at Credit Suisse Column Guaranteed, overseeing Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac transactions. She began her career with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, where she developed deep experience across conventional and affordable GSE loan programs.Angelica is passionate about building high-performing teams, upholding disciplined credit standards, and designing operational frameworks that enable sustainable growth.
