Angelica is a seasoned corporate lawyer with a wealth of experience both as external and in-house counsel. Currently, Angelica serves as External Legal Counsel for Enel Group, a Fortune Global 100 multinational energy company, where she coordinates the legal team for Enel X in Latin America. Her responsibilities include overseeing complex commercial transactions and ensuring compliance with legal authorities in the region. Over the last decade, Angelica has represented victims of commercial aviation disasters, securing settlements exceeding $50 million. Angelica\'s meticulous attention to detail and extensive legal expertise has been instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential legal issues, resulting in significant cost savings for her clients. Her contributions have been vital in driving the growth and success of the organizations she has worked with. Angelica has served as a Professor, Seminar Chair, and Assistant Professor, teaching law at various universities in Colombia and Venezuela.    Led contract negotiations for IT with +200 people with major suppliers such as Microsoft, Amazon AWS, Facebook, Adobe, Google, Accenture, Sysco, Deloitte, and other prominent corporations at Global Digital Solutions (GDS)- Ensured compliance and addressed the regulatory requirements from various authorities in heavily regulated industries in Latin America, including electricity, healthcare, insurance, and financial products, including Sernac in Chile, SIC and the Financial Superintendency of Colombia, Susalud in Peru, and ENRE in Argentina- Conducted ongoing analysis of significant legal issues related to data protection in the Latin American region, including the absence of a unified framework, inadequate enforcement mechanisms, cross-border data transfer restrictions in some countries, legal remedies for data breaches, and protection of privacy rights- Provided legal advice for a range of financial products, including credit cards, micro insurance, and assistance products, to offer alternative options for utility bill customers who did not have access to traditional financial products- Provided legal support for multiple projects involving the procurement and operation of e-buses and charging infrastructure across several Latin American countries, including Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, and Uruguay, collaborating with different municipalities and major suppliers- Led negotiations with major automotive brands including Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Mercedes to establish the company as the preferred supplier of EV batteries in Latin America- Offered legal assistance in the drafting and negotiation of intercompany agreements among several legal entities within the Enel group- Offered legal guidance for Enel X solutions in multiple countries, including Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Panama.
