Oversees Arts Midwest’s Creativity News Desk, a cultural reporting and storytelling project covering the creative Midwest.Curates and edits stories for the digital platform; hiring and closely collaborating with freelance reporters and photographers across Arts Midwest’s nine-state region.Publishes 10-12 stories per month, produced by news desk staff, freelance contributors, and partner outlets. News Desk stories have received over views on the Arts Midwest website since launch, making up 28% of all website traffic. The platform receives an average of monthly visitors reading stories of Midwestern Creativity.Designed, launched and managed a pilot year-long program for Midwestern media organizations, the Creative Midwest Media Cohort, in 2023. Participants received grants and professional development and networking opportunities. These organizations produced over 110 arts and culture related stories as part of this program.Launched the Creativity News Desk in December 2022; setting up systems for hiring external writers and sourcing story ideas, and defining coverage goals and guides.
