ABOUT ANGELA VALDES
Angela Valdes - human trafficking educator, ministry planter and developer, conference speaker, business owner. I began a journey thirteen years ago when not many were talking about human trafficking to become a voice for those who could not speak for themselves. I became a member of the St. Louis Rescue and Restore coalition and later the SW-IL coalition and trained as an educator. I now serve with the SWFL coalition as well. I knew that I had to start where I could in educating others on this horrendous injustice. I travel the country speaking at conferences and holding 2-hour workshops, teaching people the indicators of modern day slavery and how to be a part of the solution. I also work with the homeless as we battle this problem on the front lines. I’d love to share at your conference about the indicators of labor and sex trafficking and how to be a part of the solution. Email: C••••••••@gmail.com or call 61••••••33 Angela spoke at our State Convention for American Association of University Women. She was prepared with an easy-to-read, concise power point presentation. Her laid back style of presenting made the uncomfortable topic of sex trafficking feel more like a conversation than a lecture. She covered the topics with straightforward answers and knew the subject material inside out. Her real world examples helped us all visualize situations in which we may be able to spot the crime. Angela was receptive to questions and made contacts with several branches throughout the state in which she will be meeting to further her message. She was an excellent speaker and received rave reviews on our survey. I would highly recommend her to speak to any group. Kelly Orban
