She is an active volunteer and has participated in Alexandria Mayor Euille\'s annual Unity breakfast, The People\'s Inaugural, Links fund raising events and served on the advisory board for K.I. Services an organization chartered to educate and assist communities of color in response to disparities in health care delivery. Mrs. McLean is also a licensed Realtor in Virginia and North Carolina and serves as a career coach.
