THRIVE Peninsula is a faith-based non-profit helping families through financial hardship. We serve over people each year through our services. Here are some of our accomplishments over the last 9 years:Grow organizational revenue from $125k to $1.8M; open the Peninsula’s first free grocery store in partnership with Food Lion, focusing on fresh and healthy foods while fighting food insecurity in a dignified setting; train all volunteer financial coaches to be Master Financial Educators through a partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension; implement dignity-restoring practices across programming which includes a coaching approach to financial literacy, exit surveys for all clients; become a United Way partner agency; increase weekly volunteers from 35 to 280; remain fully operational, expand open hours and services throughout the pandemic
