About Angela Lawrence
At The SEED Public Charter School, my purpose was to work with senior leaders to restore the workplace to one where staff felt heard, seen, and trusted via strategic HR management. My tenure at American Association for Justice solidified my expertise in policy interpretation and employee relations, enabling me to implement and oversee comprehensive HR policies and procedures. Working at The Brookings Institution and PepsiCo allowed me to gain experience in compensation and benefits, staffing and recruiting, employment law, HRIS, HR data and analytics. My SHRM-CP certification and passion to continue learning allows me, to successfully infuse empathy and equity into HR practices while ensuring all staff receive the necessary support to reinforce the values and mission. It\'s my responsibility to cultivate a work environment that is professional, respectful, and fair because it is vital to an organization’s culture.
