Currently working on Trellis: a custom AI tool for Scottish education to streamline the admin around learners with Additional Support Needs. Trellis is a new venture from HelpFirst and Create/Change, funded by CivTech and the ScotGov Learning Directorate.In 2023, HelpFirst won a ScotGov opportunity to assist Citizens Advice Scotland\'s Extra Help Unit (EHU) with energy bill support. We developed an AI-powered plugin for their CRM system (D365), providing visual risk alerts and supporting the triage process. 100% of advisors say it makes work ‘better’ or ‘much better’, cutting down the time it takes to get up to speed on a case from 15 mins to 30 seconds.For the NSPCC\'s Childline (delivering hundreds of thousands of counselling sessions per year), we have demonstrated the potential for our technology to reduce the write-up time after sessions by 80%. This could increase overall capacity of the service by 30%.HelpFirst has won awards from GO Awards, Scottish Public Service Awards, Digital Leaders, Care Tech Awards, InnovateUK, and more.My role encompasses project management, company direction, culture, strategy, measuring outcomes, market research & content, partnership development.
