ABOUT ANGELA FUSARO
Dr. Angela Fusaro is a respected healthcare authority, digital health executive, and Emergency Medicine physician with over ten years of clinical practice experience, including time as a supervising physician at a large academic institution. She is a skilled healthcare leader, who is passionate about healthcare innovation, with an emphasis on designing tools for remote diagnostics, so that high quality urgent and emergent care can be conveniently practiced in your living room. Angela grew up in Danbury, CT; a city made famous by Stew Leonards (the world’s largest dairy store) and Martha Stewart. Angela graduated highest honors from Emory University, and prior to attending medical school, was a high school physics and chemistry teacher, lived abroad in Guatemala and worked at The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Disease Research. Angela attended medical school at New York Medical College. Angela has always shown a knack for leadership, and served as her Medical School President. She graduated Alpha Omega Alpha and received several awards for her academic prowess, service and leadership.Angela completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Carolinas Medical Center. During residency she became involved in national leadership - serving as a member of the board of directors for the Emergency Medicine Residents\' Association (EMRA). EMRA is the 2nd largest Emergency Medicine organization in the world. During that time, Angela wrote legislation addressing violence in the Emergency Department. She also served on the EMRA Legacy Initiative and its resultant documentary 24/7/365: The Evolution of Emergency Medicine. Angela worked as an Emergency Medicine physician at Emory University and is a recent graduate of Goizueta Business School. She built a software platform to estimate patient risk for opioid abuse and overdose. She is also co-founder of Insight to Innovation (i2i), a national workshop that helps other physicians translate clinical insight into marketable products. In her free time, Angela enjoys MacGyvering devices to solve life\'s problems, home renovation projects and animals of all shapes and sizes.
