The Mighty Champions is a new Non-Profit started by two phsicians who wrote the book,\"Mighty Champions Mental Health Education.\" They have a mission to use the book to teach teens and adults tools and strategies to improve their emotional state, conflict, problem solving, and decision-making, to name a few. In my position, I develop programming to support Middle and High Schools, as well as, Youth Organizations to train their students these stragegies and to implement their use across the whole student body and staff. Using the strategies builds teens and adults emotional stregth and resilience. I utilitze many of the skills used as a School Administrator, Coach, Trainer, and Consultant. I am also supporting the marketing of the program to schools in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, presently. I will also be expanding to Non-Profits, Youth Groups, and Parent Advocacy Groups. After having worked in high needs, challenging schools, I can see that these tools are needed by our children. As students and staff begin to utilize the srategies, student misbehavior will decrease in intensity and amount as well as student-staff relationships. Continued implementation will greatly improve the school culture which will also have a positive effect on student behavior. Of course, we are building the plane as we are flying it, but I know that the strategies will positively affect our students and school staff. As a former Principal, this is the type of program that would be a valuable complement to our educational program as well as a Summer Program.
