About Angela Williams
I’ve always been a natural planner since childhood, and fully embraced it during college by leading “Alternative Break” trips. Students on our campus who were seeking unique and fulfilling experiences for winter or spring break took trips to help at orphanages or carry out projects focused on environmental conservation. These trips inspired me to serve in AmeriCorps for two years following graduation. From identifying the “cause”, developing our agenda and managing volunteers, I loved planning and carrying out every detail. Today in my career, I am still passionate about envisioning the overall look / feel of an event and then identifying and executing all the steps that go into turning that vision into reality. The additional element of knowing an event is supporting or promoting a cause further inspires me in making sure every detail is anticipated and addressed. On a more practical and strategic level, having a marketing-oriented business mindset is one of my superpowers. I thrive on the challenges of figuring out - within a specific budget - how to target a particular audience, not only to reach, but also to engage them.
