Saffron Fields Vineyard produces pinot noir and chardonnay on a 35 acre estate vineyard. My husband, Sanjeev Lahoti, and I purchased a grass seed farm in Yamhill in 2004 and started planting the vineyard in 2007. We tasted the pinot noir produced from the first grape harvest and quickly moved from grape farmers to vintners. The tasting room opened in 2013 with a 5 acre botanical garden that includes a contemporary Japanese garden designed by Hoichi Kurisu of Kurisu International. Designed to reflect all seasons of Oregon\'s blooming plants, the garden contains currants, oregon grape, blueberries, maples, over 100s of lavender, rosemary, camellias, and others. Our 3rd of July fireworks display is the best in the Willamette Valley. The wine has received multiple 93 scores from Wine Enthusiast. It can be purchased at the Saffron Fields Vineyard tasting room or on our on-line store, I instagram about art, wine events, the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, my yorkies, bonsai, and gardens.
