ABOUT ANGELA RUSH
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student at Arizona State University, specializing in Innovation Leadership. I began my nursing career in 2004 and have over two decades of clinical experience across acute care, primary care, neurology, and clinical research settings. I became a Nurse Practitioner in 2017 and have since focused my practice on neurology, providing comprehensive care for patients with complex neurological and neurodegenerative conditions.In addition to my clinical role, I serve as a clinical research sub-investigator, contributing to the advancement of emerging therapies through involvement in multiple clinical trials. My combined clinical and research experience has strengthened my commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical research conduct, and improving access to innovative treatments.As a current Doctor of Nursing Practice student, my scholarly work focuses on improving cultural competence and increasing diversity in clinical trial participation. I am particularly passionate about addressing systemic barriers that limit equitable access to neurological care and about being involved in research.
