Advocating for others is my passion. As a lawyer specializing in employment law defence for employers, human rights, and civil disputes, I am dedicated to protecting my clients\' rights and achieving favourable outcomes. My primary expertise lies in litigation, where I adeptly present my client\'s side of a dispute to a trier of fact. While the majority of civil cases do not go to trial, I prepare each case as though it will, ensuring thorough attention to detail, active listening, and a deep understanding of the law.I bring over nine years of experience as a paralegal, where I honed my skills in litigation, advocating vigorously for my clients. My practice areas included landlord and tenant issues, human rights, employment defence, and insurance claims. My goal was to simplify the complexities of the court system and ensure my clients\' needs were met at every stage.Before transitioning to law, I spent over 12 years in the insurance industry. My career began in the accident benefits department at State Farm Insurance\'s head office. I soon became a licensed insurance agent, where I managed daily operations and built strong client relationships through sales and service. My diverse experience as both an insurance agent and broker has provided me with a unique perspective and a comprehensive understanding of client needs.While this summary outlines my career history, it doesn\'t fully capture who I am.
